ls6pilot
Is there a way to measure how much pressure is required to move the rudder pedals. My pedals feel very stiff to me. I have not yet flown in another CT so I have no comparison. I am still taking some lessons but hopefully I will get together with "The Flying Monkey" soon. Appreciate any info. Tom Baker
The pedals always seem stiffer on the ground because of the nose wheel steering. The CTSW has 2 different rudder centering springs that I am aware of. There is the light spring and the heavy spring. The age of your airplane it would have come with the light spring, (actually 2 smaller springs IIRC). The CTLS has an even stiffer feel to the rudder compared to the CTSW. I have never noticed the rudders feeling stiff in flight, only on the ground.
FlyingMonkey
Don't use the pedals on the ground when not moving, some folks have bent pedals that way due to the high force required.
