Runtoeat
Is there a "best way" or "good tool" to get the hard shell connectors apart on our ignition modules?
Roger Lee
Just a straight tip screwdriver. Lift the tab outward and they should just slide apart. They need to be slightly snug for water intrusion protection. To remove individual wires inside the connector a watch screwdriver or a straight tip dental pick works well. There is a tiny small plastic tab inside by the metal connector you need to press down and the wire will slide right out. This procedure is one I physically teach in my classes. I have a few old models we get to practice on.
