Tip
My early 2008 LS has the small MR16 bulb and I need my third pigtail socket. The socket comes in contact with the oil line elbow on top of the radiator when removing and installing the bottom cowling. Has anyone experienced this and fixed the problem? Thanks. Tom Baker
I know that it happens and carefully remove the cowling to avoid issues.
Tip
I do my best with one guy. I have unplugged the socket from the bulb but then it becomes tough getting it plugged back in after the cowl is on. Very little clearance. Roger Lee
Hi Tip, This does happen on some CTs. The only thing you can try and do is change that oil hose length and see if that allows you to turn that fitting and hose out of the way.
Tip
Thanks Tom & Roger. At one time, guys were replacing the small light with a newer style & it required some fab work. Is that an option?
Aeromut
I too would like to upgrade from the MR16 landing light, to a PAR36, such as the Whelen Parmethius or Teledyne Aphabeam. Has anyone done it?
