NC Bill
My EGT probes are displayed on my engine management system as EGT 1 and EGT 2. How do I determine which two cylinders (pilots side or Passenger side) these probes are monitoring? Is EGT 1 monitoring the two cylinders on the pilots side or the passengers side? Tom Baker
For the CT the EGT probes are typically on the left and right rear cylinders. They only indicate the EGT for the specific cylinder. Since the 912 is set up with dual carbs the indication of one cylinder per side does provide some indirect information for both cylinders on that side due to the shared carburetor. To verify which is EGT 1 and EGT 2 are will require a little trouble shooting. The easiest way would be to disconnect one wire from either the left or right probe, then turn on the Dynon. The disconnected probe should show a red X. Be careful when disconnecting the probe. It is easy to pull the connector off the end of the wire.
