CTMI
Just installed a wireless Hagar door opener from GAMA electronics. Install time was under 30 minutes. One controller in my car, one in the plane. It's pretty great. https://www.gamainc.com/product/pb3-remote/
Tom Baker
Be real careful with that. Never ever just pull the airplane half out of the hangar. There was a fellow from Colorado with a CTLS who was learning his new GPS. He pulled his airplane out of the hangar to get a GPS signal. While messing with the GPS he accidently hit the button on his remote. The hangar door cut the airplane in half.
Anticept
My hangar slides sideways with no motors, so it's fine
CTMI
Tom it's funny you say that because I was concerned about exactly that. I ended up mounting the controller on the crossbeam overhead with a bit of double sided tape just to avoid any chance of bumping it inadvertently. I cannot imagine watching my plane get split in half by a door; that must have been a horrible experience for that person.

On the bright side they shipped a new tail section and a tech from Germany came over and fixed the airplane. I heard you couldn't even tell there had been an issue. Anticept
I believe Daniel is his name. They ship him everywhere in the United States where there's a major repair needed. From what I've heard, he's a little abrasive, but extremely skilled.
Tip
CTMI, Are you happy with this remote system? My door only has two buttons and I’m wondering if this would work for me? Thanks
CTDan
HangarBot has a pretty cool system that also has security as well as some other neat features. No affiliation. https://shop.hangarbot.com/
