Andy A Posted March 20, 2018 Report Posted March 20, 2018 Is there any way to tighten up the tension on the throttle control on a CTLSi? It seems like ours keeps creeping up on the RPMs. If I set it at 5,200 RPMS, within a few minutes it creeps up to 5,500 RPMS. Maybe its the plane's way of telling me it wants to run at 5,500!
Anticept Posted March 20, 2018 Report Posted March 20, 2018 There's a bolt and nut that applies tension to the throttle control. Remove the panel that the throttle lever goes through and you should see them. It does NOT take much to make it tight. Don't go cranking on it!
Ed Cesnalis Posted March 20, 2018 Report Posted March 20, 2018 I believe its just like my CTSW and needs a belleville washer.
Runtoeat Posted March 21, 2018 Report Posted March 21, 2018 Ed, If you added a picture of your throttle with belleville washer(s), I'll go back and find your post. If no pictures, please advise us if you added a washer to one side or both? Thanks.

CT2K Posted April 27, 2018 Report Posted April 27, 2018 Would a loose trim handle adjust the same way? (tail trim that is)
Anticept Posted May 1, 2018 Report Posted May 1, 2018 Pitch trim wheel rides on bearings with spacers, tightening them won't do much for side to side play unless it's really loose. Just pop the panel off, you'll see what you need to tighten. Now if you mean it's lose as in a lot of rolling play... that's a cable tension issue!
