Ben2k9
For those who have installed the iFly on your CT, were you able to split the RS-232 feed to both the Truetrak autopilot and the Dynon D100? thanks
DJ Todd B
I installed the the 740b last month and tied it to the TruTrak but was unaware that it should be tired to the Dynon D100. What purpose would that serve?

What purpose would that serve? It will give you the virtual HSI, and I think it's required for the TAS and wind arrow calculations.

DJ Todd B
I will have to check this out on my next flight, but the Wind direction arrow / speed and TAS seemed to work but maybe the info is erroneous since the iFly740b wasn't hooked up to the Dynon. I think this will warrant a call to Dynan for details.

You need ground track and speed from the GPS, along with indicated airspeed and magnetic heading from the Dynon.

Runtoeat
You guys are both wrong. It doesn't need any of these things. As my wire wizzard Father-in-law used to say, "It's JFM"!
Doug G.
It can all come from the Dynon with the right setup. The Dynon GPS 2020 antenna provides the info to the displays. (Skyview in my case). All my track info and positioning comes from connection to the Dynon display via serial port connections.
