MileHighCTLS
Does anyone have a line on the best place to buy CTLS parts? Specifically I am now in need of a fuel cap. Tom

Tom Baker
This one to be specific. It is a shame that you have to buy the ring too. http://www.aircraftspruce.com/catalog/appages/lwsprlfc1.php?clickkey=3008203
MileHighCTLS
Thank you! I never knew it would be so easy! I don't even want to say "WHY" I need it!
LS Bruce
Note under the accessory tab, you can just buy the o-rings for $11.65. A little grease and new o-rings and adjusting the nut will make it work like new.
MileHighCTLS
I wish it was that simple! Embarrassed to say, I left the cap off, resting on the wing after fueling. Pulled the plane out, taxied and did some touch and goes before I noticed a stream off the trailing edge of the right wing (in a right turn). I had been up around 30-minutes before noticing. Upon landing, I couldn't believe that hardly any fuel was missing! T
Runtoeat
Similar thing with me and a lesson for us all. I filled up both tanks the other day but wanted to add more fuel. I just left the fillers sitting on top of the filler holes because I was only going down the road to get gas at the local station and would be right back. No problem. I ran into a friend at the station and by the time I got back to my hangar, it was too dark to fly. Next day I was going to fly and happened to glance up at the fillers. They didn't look right. Oh yeah, forgot they were just sitting on the wings. Take the time to do it right, even if it is going to be temporary! Don't be in a hurry. Stand back and take one last scan of your plane before flying!
