Andy A
How often do you guys have to replace the trim tape holding the landing gear farings to the fuselage? Our (new to us) 2014 looks like its time for a replacement. Also, how well does the tape stick? I am afraid out plane might be too slick from frequent cleanings for the tape to hold for very long. Anticept
Clean paint is easily bonded to. If you wax though, it will have problems.
Tom Baker
I generally tape once a year at the condition inspection, because I remove the fairing to inspect the gear saddle. As for being too slick you can always clean the area to be taped with some wax and grease remover after you have removed the old tape, and before applying the new. Then re wax the area after the tape is applied.
