A low hour student pilot who was in his late 50's.  I can relate to learning to fly at the same age and send his close friends and family my condolences.

Preliminary Facts: 64 years old. Student with108.8 total hours. 32.8 hours in plane of which 6.4 hours were solo.
8.6 hours in plane in previous 90 days. Tower switched his traffic pattern direction just prior to third touch and go.
Winds were increasing significantly within an hour’s time. Tragic.
