Andy A Posted October 3, 2019 Report Share Posted October 3, 2019 If you are using the Skyview, you can set up a VNAV profile to descend to a certain altitude at a certain point. For example, you can set it so you will be 1000' above the runway 1 mile before you get there to help enter the traffic pattern on a VFR flight. Or you can set it to follow a 3 degree glide slope from the final approach fix of the RNAV approach down to the MDA a half a mile before the airport. The options are pretty wide open.
