TheFrisco
Have a question on the breaks for my newly purchased CTLS ... looks like when I land after a while, I need to pump the breaks couple times to get them to grip. Is this normal? Thanks Robert
coppercity
The Matco brakes on the CTLS should be pretty positive so if you are pumping to get more stopping force they likely need to be bleed and/or have the pad wear checked. Tip
If your 2008 has the original Marc Ingegno brakes (gold wheels), they will need to be pumped. There is a spring that pushes the pads back when pressure is released which is normal for that brand.
Tom Baker
The spring is there to keep the pads from rattling. There was a period of time that they put in a spring that was to long and to stiff. I used to cut the springs in half with good results. Also if they are the Marc brakes you might need to clean and lube the pins.
