Jeremy MacGregor
Just got a confirmation that Rotax is changing there fuel pumps. The Old part number for the pump without hoses is 892-542 new number 893-110. The old number for fuel pumps with hoses is 892-546 new number is 893-114. We have got confirmation that these are the "New pumps" but they wont be making to the Retail level till April or May possibly later.
Runtoeat
Jeremy, do you know what might have changed with the new pumps?
Jim Meade
Does anyone know what they will cost? I'm buying a used CTSW wtih low hours and expect to have it brought up to speed by a FD/Rotax shop with an annual in late May. I expect to fly it on a 1500 mile cross country through the Rockies in June. I'm wondering if a new fuel pump is a "must do" or not. I'll make the decision, I'm not asking anyone to tell me that, I'm only asking for up-to-date facts on the situation.
Tom Baker
Jim, I have not heard anything on the new pumps. The old pump if it is working and not leaking I would not change it out. The old pumps if they were going to fail would happen fairly quick (the first 20 hours). Tom
Roger Lee
Hi Jim, I'm with Tom. Leave the pump alone if it is working. Most pumps last for many years.
