922HT@KSDM
922HT got a new home!! - Brown Field in the sunny San Diego, CA - and as part of my transition training and much appreciate some info on the soft/landing procedures which are not defined in the 2k POH. Although the LS POH shows an speed of 49kts for soft/short landings I wonder how accurately I may apply it to the 2k considering it's wings are 2' shorter than the LS. Actually I tried a soft landing at that speed but almost undershot the rwy.
Tom Baker
I think that speed should be okay. It is not surprising that you came up short it you are used to approaches at a higher speed. With that speed you will be coming in at a steeper angle. This happens because your rate of descent will be a little higher, and you are traveling across the ground slower. Adjust the pattern for the slower speed.
sandpiper
I thought the wings on the 2K were longer than the LS??

922HT@KSDM
Sorry I meant the wings of the CT2k - 30.5' - longer than the LS - 28'2". Ok next time I'll tried an steeper AoA @ 49kts. Thank you
