coppercity Posted March 30, 2011 Report Share Posted March 30, 2011 Had some fluctuations on my right side CHT the other day. I assumed a loose connection but after a quick inspection I found that some slack in the wire had allowed the lead to move against the exhaust header, melt thru the insulation and ground itself to the exhaust. Something to check next time you have the cowling off. An additional tie wrap will take some of the slack out and keep it off the exhaust. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
