Bill3558
I continue to have a problem with my EMS not booting up. Before I take the plane to an avionics shop, let me run it by you guys to see if you have any ideas. Here is the problem. Intermittently the EMS won’t power up. I have to take the panel out and clean the 32 pin connector with contact cleaner. I put it back together and it works every time. For about a week. Then it goes out again and I have to repeat. Fortunately it has never failed in flight. Always at power up. I have tried: brushing the power pins with contact cleaner and then blowing out with compressed air. dielectric grease, tightening the female power connector with a pin (dicey), ran a grounding wire to the case. Works for a while, and then it goes out again. I have gotten good at pulling the panel, cleaning contacts and reassemble in 5 minutes, but this is not a solution. Thanks for any ideas. Tip
If the ambient temperature was below 25 degrees, my Dynon wouldn’t come on. Dynon repaired the problem.
