Roger Lee
If anyone needs carbs overhauled you can send them to me. I'm about $150-$200 cheaper than Lockwood or the others and I only have a 1 day turn around.
FlyingMonkey
I'm sure some will disagree, but unless you do your carbs at the same time as the rubber change, I wouldn't replace the rubber carb parts during the change. To me that is a separate operation and done at the carb overhaul. I did my carbs myself at almost 500 hours (don't know if they had been done previously by first owner) and they were like new inside, almost zero wear on the conical valve which is the primary wear point. I did pop the carb tops and checked the diaphrams for problems during the rubber change. If you don't do your carbs as part of the rubber change, and source the hoses yourself instead of buying a kit, you can shave several hundred dollars off the materials cost. Of course if you are operating an SLSA and FD specifies the carb rubber gets replaced, then you are kind of locked into that legally. If you need carbs done definitely use Roger, he'll do them cheaper, faster, and better than most.
Tom Baker
Carb sockets and diaphragms are part of the Rotax required replacement list.

Right, but if you are replacing the diaphrams between hose changes when you do your carbs, do you really need to replace them at hose change time? No, but I don't recall seeing any CT's that had had the diaphragms replaced in between hose changes.
