Ken
I have a 2006 CTSW I am looking for the following: 1) Proper size cowling fasteners and where to order, please. 2) Recommendations for a good torque wrench 3) Recommendation for a good pair of safety pliers. Thanks, Ken
Jim Meade
Here's a source for camloc. I used the Phillips head type because the tool to unlock them is less likely to slip and scratch the cowl than the slotted head type camloc. Yes, size matters. This site has some nice other info on it that is useful if you are just learning about camlocs. https://www.camloc.us/camloc-medium-duty-quarter-turns-2600-2700f-series/ You can also get them from Aircraft Spruce. I found for less than $20 the camloc pliers are worth it (yes, you can use cleco pliers or other ways but the camloc I found to be pretty nice). https://www.aircraftspruce.com/catalog/hapages/camloctools3.php?clickkey=3405228 I spend the $80 and got Milbar reversable wire twist pliers but there are many less expensive options. You'll get various suggestions and there are a number of alternatives worthy of consideration - mine are just some I've had experience with.
