Big Flapper
I have a 2008 CTLS that pulls left when braking, I have bled the brakes. The brake pads are thicker than the limit. Any suggestions will be appreciated. I'm thinking that replacing the brake pads will be the next step.
GrassStripFlyBoy
I have Marc brakes on my SW, when I purchased my airplane it had not flown a lot in previous years, and had a tendency to pull when braking. I ordered new pads and discs, planned to redo everything, but in the course of flying it over the next couple of months the condition balanced out. The pads were well above spec, and the discs were decent. You may want to stop in a larger non controlled airport and taxi around dragging the brakes and attempt to wear them in, nothing to lose doing it? GrassStripFlyBoy
And if you have the Marc brakes, (gold wheels), remove the 4 shoulder bolts that disc floats on, clean them up and ensure the disc is not sticking anywhere on these. A very little synthetic grease on these is not a bad idea too.
Big Flapper
Thanks for the info. My plane had not been flying much before I purchased it also.
