Roger Lee
Hi All, Just and FYI if you buy a used CT from someone. Make sure you drop FD a note to show you now own the aircraft so they can make sure your in the bulletin notification mailing system. If you have purchased a used CT over the last 3-4 years and have never sent FD an update as to you being the new owner then you should do so right away. You can use the form below or just send an email with all the pertinent info. http://flightdesignusa.com/support/owner/ p.s. This rule actually applies to any SLSA transfer, just most never heard of it or bother, but you absolutely should do it for your own protection and as of last April all mandatory Mfg. SB's are supposed to be done before a sale. This usually means that owners need to know what is required of their aircraft and not leave it up to a mechanic. Many regular A&P's don't know where to look for FD SB's. Technically the owner has the ultimate responsibility that things like this get done. For our CT members here is the FD link to required SB's. I do see CT's come into the shop that are missing required SB's. CTLS bulletins: http://www.flightdesign.com/index.php?page=service_doc_ctls_astm CTSW bulletins: http://www.flightdesign.com/index.php?page=service_doc_ctsw_astm CT2K bulletins: http://www.flightdesign.com/index.php?page=service_doc_ct2k_astm Rotax and BRS bulletins: http://flightdesignusa.com/support/sb-components/ If you have a bulletin that applies and has been complied with then of course it should be documented by the mechanic. To take it one step further and make everyones life easy is to make a list of each bulletin in the back of the logbook with the bulletin number, and date completed. You can even add to that list the other bulletins for your model that may not have applied to you because you are out of serial number range. This is just good documentation and this way down the line you or a mechanic will never have to search or wonder if something ever got accomplished. This will help make it easy to sell too because you can flip back to those pages and show the new buyer your on top of everything and keep good records. johngpilot
I have been sending some emails to the CT owners letting them know about changes, regional events and in some cases alerting them to those SB. I have been trying to keep up with those changes as well. If you have never seen an email from me, I am guessing I have the wrong address or spam has caught it. If you want to get on this FD list, email jgilmore@flightdesignusa.com or sign up on the Web site (http://flightdesignusa.com/contact-us/)

Requests for ownership changes will also be completed this way." I appreciate being on a list for ownership issues, but am not interested in being on a list for marketing and sales information. How does one register ownership without signing up for unwanted ads? The paperwork on my future CTSW is in process. I guess I'll wait till it's all official before signing up. johngpilot
Jim, Just put in the remarks that you don't want any sales emails. In the past year there were less than 6 specific emails for ads but I remember sending 2 for SB notifications. It is the best way to get push info. Or you can just monitor the web site for changes. I doubt if you will be overwhelmed with a lot of data.
