NC Bill
At the oil change the connectors on the landing light broke off. A/C logbook sticker says it had once been replaced with a PHILIPS 6834 landing light bulb. Is this the bulb I need? If so where's a good source to get them from. CT4ME
I'd be looking into one of the LED light bulbs... check out chanik's posts under replacement exterior lights Tim
Patrnflyr
I put an LED bulb in mine but the brightness was much lower than the original bulb. It looked brighter but was useless at night. John

I have an annual in 10 days. I don't plan on night flying...just need a bulb in case.

chanik
The AEON V5 is as bright as they get and fits perefectly but about 1/2 as bright as this 100W Philips at 14x less power. The LED was essential with the battery voltage running so low but now I bet I could run 15 minutes to 1/2 hr before getting the low voltage warning with the halogen bulb. Tad Olmsted
Roger, we need to come up with a mod to replace the phillips bulb to the new LED style. I'm gonna email Daniel in Germany and see if the are doing this yet. Maybe I can get him to send me a portion of the lower cowl where the LED light is and I can patch it into an existing cowl. If we can do this to wing tips, I would think we could do this for a landing light assy change.
207WF
I think there are some LED bulbs that plug right in. There was a thread on this on the other forum. There is a BLTC MR16 type, only 0.23 amps. There is a brighter 9 watt MR1 Cree Chip from Ledliquidatorsinc.com. WF
