NC Bill
I bought N544CT in January about 60 hrs back. While I've owned 4 planes she's my first LSA and naturally I had a bunch of questions. So I decided to go to a CT specialist rather than a generalist for my first annual and 200 hr inspection. It was also important for me to be there while the inspection was progressing. Not that I will ever do any mx work. Not my thing. But to better appreciate how it all comes together and understand how to keep her running smoothly. I checked alternatives and chose Tad Olmstad. His price was reasonable, flying distance acceptable and IMPORTANTLY he'd work with me to turn it around in 1 day. And he did just that. I arrived at 2pm and departed KSEF at noon the next day. The plane was clean but not without needing a couple hundred dollars in CT parts and a new warrantied fuel pump. A not trivial benefit of doing the annual at KSEF is that you can just walk the parts order over to LOCKWOOD and walk back with everything needed to complete the job. No waiting AOG for parts to arrive. I was more than pleased with Tad's thoroughness and professionalism in addressing my aircraft's needs during the inspection and I told him I planned to mention it here. He told me that would be appreciated. But not worth a discount
Roger Lee
I agree that Tad is a great resource over on the SE coast. It would be good to use him for your maint. He is definitely up on Rotax and FD.
