Bill3558
So today I lost another ( third) EGT sensor. No big deal, I keep a spare now because they obviously have a working life of less than 600 hours. when I pulled the cowling I saw this frayed CHT sensor. No idea how it happened. It still works ok. I need your opinion, should I just tape it up or spring for $185 to replace it,
Bill3558
Looks like it may have been chewed. It wasn’t rubbing anything.
Tom Baker
That was my first thought as well. I would check for mouse evidence under the cowling, and around the hangar. I know here it just turned off cold, and they are moving inside.
