Tom Baker Posted November 26, 2022 Report Share Posted November 26, 2022 One more thing is that if you are under pitched on your propeller as you come down into the normal cruise power setting range it will run hotter, because the carb runs leaner in the mid range. I also had one airplane that had a higher RPM drop on ignition check when it was cold outside. it drove me crazy, until I found that the clip on the needles in the carbs were one groove to lean.
