MileHighCTLS
I have the two-screen Dynon Skyview Classic in my 2011 CTLS. It is running 15.2.0 software and I am having absolutely no problems at all ... everything works great, including the "dead-on" autopilot. So, my question, Is there any real benefits to updating the software? If so, I have ollow-ups ... Can I download from Dynon or does Flight Design have to configure it first, and make it available for download? And ... Can I go straight to the latest version or does Dynon need to see progressive updates? I appreciate any knowledge. Since the plane is down for annual and 5-year rubber change-out, I may as well explore everything!
Anticept
If S-LSA: You have to use the manufacturer provided software from flight design. There is a milestone release if you had a really old version, then you jump to newest. Instructions on their site at flightdesign.com (Germany site). E-LSA: Follow instructions from dynon. There are a couple "milestone" releases too. Software updates in general are something done to address issues or expand features.
