Wheel Jack / Stand

Recommended Posts

Have had a few people ask for dimensions & design info for the jack I fab'd up, here's pictures.  This is based on small tire size and Marc brakes.

There is nothing super critical about dimensions other than the pin needs to fit into back side of axle ID hole (close to be secure, but free enough to allow stand to pivot in place when wing lifted / tire elevated).

For those not familiar with process, insert stand into back side of axle shaft, lift wing and stand pendulumns vertically, drop wing and wheel remains elevated by this stand.  When done servicing tire, pull plane with prop and pivot off the stand.

This used 1/16" steel, some scrap stuff I had around, the punched holes are not required, I believe the steel chunk I used was an old garden stake that had series of holes.
