Runtoeat
I'm going to buy some rope for my tie-downs and am thinking that 1/2" braided nylon rope, maybe climbing rope, would be best. Anybody have recommendations what to use?
Doug
I would think an old climbing rope might work well - the slight amount of give would help to cushion the load on the tie-downs. I use utility cord, IIRC about 6mm, mostly because its easier to see and identify as mine. Doug
CT4ME
I see that both Sporty's and AircraftSpruce sell 1/2" braided (nylon or polyester) rope as their "tiedown" rope. That's what is used with my tie-downs, but with a lever-lock mechanism that keeps you from having to depend on special knots. Kind of like the RopeLok... http://www.aircraftspruce.com/catalog/pspages/ropelok.php Or the ToughMan.. http://www.aircraftspruce.com/catalog/pspages/tie-down.php Tim
