shiny.ice
thanks for posting, Bill. It's also inspiring that a 500ft pull was so successful.
Madhatter
This is a good reason for owners to get educated on their aircraft so they can ask the right questions and know what needs to be done and how. This is one of the great things about LSA, you can get this training easily from numerous places and don't need to get 2000 hours classroom instruction like an A&P. procharger
Were the hoses to large for the thermo. housing no way they just came off, as most here know the hoses once tight on any of the fittings you can't hardly get them off after many heat cycles. Did anyone try to slip the hoses back on to see how loose they were. Can't believe it was not in the report that it was checked.
procharger
In the pic doesn't look like the thermo. housing was tied to other hose with a stand off or something. If it wasn't I could see maybe it would be shaking all the time and finally worked loose what do ya'll think?

One type the hose is really tight, the other looser. If you use the Rotax hose both have sufficient tension on the barbs. If you use the Aeroquip 1/2" hose it is okay on the one barb, but to loose on the other. I'm not sure which hose was used, but the pictures show that he had the smaller barbed fittings.
