Roger Lee
Ron LocationSouth Africa Alignment Question I have an early 2007 CTSW. When the left aileron is straight and level and perfectly aligned with the flap, the right aileron is about 8 degrees out and up - leaving about a 20mm (nearly 1 inch) gap between flap and aileron edge (obviously, the converse applies if I align the left aileron to the left flap edge), Is this OK and normal? It was delivered like this from the factory, but remember the wings were assembled locally after shipping in a container.
Roger Lee
Hi All, The aileron position moves with the flaps so the aileron position is not a set place. When the flaps are set at zero then the ailerons when placed in a neutral position will be about 3/8" higher on each side over the flap position. bseager
Ron, my 2006 CTSW looks the same because of aileron trim adjustment for solo flight. Can you level the ailerons using trim? Does the aircraft fly level in your current configuration?
Mac Bowden
With our set-up here in Europe with -12 degrees of negative flap, the ailerons are perfectly in line with the flaps with full up flap and neutral aileron stick. Mac
