gorilla
Hi Guys, I'm not sure if this has been covered before but has anyone got any good ideas on how to get the suede-ish finish on the instrument binnacle clean or looking good? The inside of my 'plane looks really nice with the sheepskin covers on the leather seats, the custom made carbon instrument panels, new instrumentation and the carpets but the binnacle looks like it could do with a bit of a spruce-up. A friend has taken the binnacle out of his CTSW completely, rubbed it smooth (took a long time!) and spray painted it a sort of matt/satin very dark grey colour. It looks really good but I didn't quite want to go to that extent ......yet! Cheers.
Anticept
Toothbrush or other soft bristle brush and have at it. It's the best i've been able to do.
Tom Baker
A foam paint brush works depending on what the dirt is. Also a lint roller and tape will remove dust. Keep cloths and rags away because of lint.

Chuck
Has anybody come up with a clever way to repair or mask scratches on the textured surface of the binnacle?
