Bulldog
Hi everyone - Just curious if you all have a diode going from terminal R to terminal C on your rectifier regulator. I swapped to a B&C regulator after a brand new Ducati regulator failed after only about 42 hours. The original Ducati regulator was dying a slow death, so I replaced it with the new Ducati, but I may have just received a bad one. Regardless, I figured I'd upgrade, albeit for twice the cost, to the B&C regulator, and it has been solid now for several hours. Anyway, it seems like there's some debate on tying terminals R and C together, and I was going to eliminate it unless there's good reason not to. The B&C drawings don't include the diode crossing the terminals. Thanks! Nick V N663CT
FredG
I have B&C regulators on two experimental airplanes with 912ULS engines (one is a CTsw with ELSA registration). No diodes and no problems.
