Roger Lee
Hi Doug, I don't know for sure, but I thought the BRS website had some and maybe you might be able to google a few up. I know I have seen a few here and there over the years.
Patrnflyr
I remember one over in Europe where a CT was being used as a tug for gliders or it flew through a glider tow rope and he had to deploy the chute. It was on you tube for awhile. Found it, but it wasn't a CT. Here's the link: John
CT4ME
Are there any documented activation events available for public information? It looks like BRS Parachutes has become BRS Aerospace... but still buried on their site is this ever-growing list:. BRS Deployment List Look at the last two lives saved! Roger Lee
There are at least 250 people that owe their lives to BRS. Has to make you feel good knowing it works and it's only a hand grip away. Although I hope I never get to be listed on their page of saves. I only hope to be on the re-pack list. Look at the altitude of deployment. I saw many deployments on the BRS site at quite a low altitude. Look at number 172-173 deployment.
Roger Lee
Hi Guys, Depending on when your plane was put in service or what the date on the BRS chute is the 2005 CT's are due for a BRS re-pack. The 2006 CT's will start next January. Here is the BRS re-pack center's website link. http://www.brsparachutes.com/repack_center.aspx
N89WD
I had never thought of the incapicated angle of the chute deployment..... seizure, heat attack, etc. See how informitive this fourm is....good stuff!
Clive Sinclair
Quite a few structural failures in that list! A large amount of 'loss of controls' too.
CT4ME
Anybody know the people involved in the recent CTSW deployment? It shows Sweden. I'd love to get a first-hand incident report. I've spent some time trying to dig up contact information on the Internet, but fall short when I get into anything past English. A little help from our European members? airhound
Looked like it rolled over, hope he got out before the fire. High wing and two side exits is a good thing, it think. Looks like the crash crew where taking a siesta?
chanik
The RANS S-9 is just utility category, just like the CT +6/-4G So imaging putting a CT though this routine.
