Safety Officer Posted September 20, 2011 Report Share Posted September 20, 2011 Here is a video of a CTLS exhaust leak on the #3 cyl. which is the right rear socket. Loosen all 8 exhaust stud nuts on both sides of the engine. Leave the springs alone. They do not need to be touched. Then get on the left side (pilot side) and push very hard , use your foot or a block of wood and a hammer and push the muffler assembly back to the right about 1" to re-align the socket joints. After you have moved the muffler then go back and tighten the exhaust stud nuts. If you have a stubborn problem header wrap cloth will help to suppress the exhaust leak if it comes back..
