Duane Jefts
Gary Stout was in my graduating class in 1963.
FlyingMonkey
If it's the Gary Stout from Cedar Springs, then that is my wife's Dad. He passed away in 2001 from a major stroke.
FlyingMonkey
Update, it's a different Gary Stout. However, my wife's mother's second husband was Paul Porter, and she says they used to know that you flew out of Cain's Airfield, Duane.
opticsguy
wow. I'm from Ludington. I've flown with the doors open, but not off. Kept it under 60 kts. If you watch your airspeed you can do some great photo work with the CT.

Roger Lee
It does stress the door strut pins and one on our form has 1300+ hrs. With half that with the doors open and with a block under the wing to support the door and has two fairly large cracks in the door window. Both his doors have cracks 17" long along the bottom of where the window embeds into the door. Better to remove them. Cracks happen and you won't have any warning. Farmer
Mm I am the one who used to fly from Walt Cain strip. I on occasion would rent the 172 when on the mainland. Farmer
